Food Distribution
The West Seattle Food Bank distributes food; baby supplies such as baby food, formula, and diapers; pet food; and other items to families in need residing in the zip codes 98106, 98116, 98126 and 98136. Families can use the food bank once a week. Please see our “Hours of Distribution” to the side. Emergency bags are sometimes available during our regular business hours, but please call first.
We ask families to provide a photo identification and proof of address such as a recent piece of mail with a West Seattle zip code (phone or utility bill) on their first visit.
We use a shopping method for our clients. Each client is given a number based on the number of people in the family. We have five different stations where clients are able to choose a certain amount of items from each station, depending on their number. Stations include:
- Protein
- Dairy
- Produce
- Grains
- Pastry
We offer diapers, formula, baby food and toddler bags for families with young children during our regular distribution hours. A Birth Certificate for each child must be shown on the first visit to receive baby items.
Baby items are available as followed:

Baby Food under 1 year 1 time a week
Formula under 1 year 2 times a month
Diapers 0-36 months 3 times a month
Diapers 36-48 months 2 times a month
Diapers over 48 months 1 time a month
Toddler bags 2-5 years 1 time a month

Note: Families expecting a baby or who have young children should be enrolled with WIC, the nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children. Find your local WIC clinic here.

The Food Bank is located on the corner of SW Morgan and 35th Ave SW, across the street from Pizza Hut. The address is 3419 SW Morgan St. (See map to the left)
Metro bus service is available to the West Seattle Food Bank via routes 21 and 128.
Off-sight Distribution
WSFB partners with the Senior Center of West Seattle and the Skate Church to offer food distribution at those sites. Clients may register to pick up groceries from one site only. For information about distributions at these sites contact the Senior Center of West Seattle or Skate Church.
